Buzz Infosystems servers are built around fast 2.4 GHz processors with a minimum of 1GB ram. Web servers run Windows 2003 Server, IIS6, ASP 3 and .NET version 1.1. Our e-mail servers run iMail version 7.07/MailEnable, our database servers run MS SQL Server 2000 SP3.

All servers are housed in a purpose built Network Operations Centre, manned 24 hours a day, with redundant backup of both internet and power connections to ensure there is no single point of failure for our network.

We have a ticket based fast turnaround support system. Technical support queries are typically resolved within 2 hours and NEVER more than 12 hours.

What exactly is Web Space and Bandwidth ?

Disk space is the size your website can be. Every single letter on your website has to be stored somewhere on your web host's server. Each letter is one byte, and a megabyte is roughly one million bytes. HTML pages are usually very small, but it is the extra images, scripts, and even databases that can take up large amounts of disk space.

Bandwidth/Transfer is the amount of data the server will allow your site to send in a month. Transfer is usually measured in gigabytes - billions of bytes. Once you go over your monthly limit, a host may either shut your site down for the remainder of the month or it can charge you 'overage.'

What plan should I start with?

This is a decision you must make for yourself based on both the amount of exposure you plan to give your site as well as the amount of information you have for your site. Due to the generous disk space limits Buzz Infosystems gives, most sites start with 25 MB packages. Upgrading is a breeze and you only pay the difference in fees from one level to the next when upgrading.

Can I SPAM and send unsolicited messages if I host with you?

NO! Our server are 100% AGAINST SPAM! **If we receive SPAM complaints about your account, we will be forced to terminate your account without a refund.**

There are much better ways of bringing GOOD traffic to your site.

What is a Catchall Email?

A Catchall e-mail account will forward anything@yourdomain.com that you have not specifically setup as an alias or POP3 account for. You'll get all mail to your domain name and your customers will not receive mail bounces for invalid e-mail addresses at your domain.
